Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane is a maximum security prison for the mentally ill. Many insane murderers and supervillains, such as Carnage and Venom, were kept at Ravencroft. Dr. Leonard Samson, Ravencroft's newest director, has retired from his position to further progress his own private practice.
