The abandoned and derelict ruins of Attilan which was rendered all but inhabitable after the city itself was put in peril by Maximus the Mad. This section of Attilan was nearly destroyed after ruler Black Bolt successfully freed his city from a Negative Zone barrier—a last and desperate tactic by Maximus. Unleashing the sheer power of his voice, Black Bolt destroyed the barrier, yet most of the city was unable to recover. The Attilan that stands tall and proud today was built over and around the old city.

The official residence of the monarchial progenitors of the Inhuman race. This elegantly fashioned and amply accommodated palace houses such established and notable Inhumans of the royal family including Gorgon, Karnak, Triton, Medusa, and Black Bolt.

The central lab for research and supplemental distribution of the Terrigen Mist. The Terrigen Mist is a natural mutagen, arising as a vapor from the Terrigen Crystals, which are able to alter Inhuman biology. The Mists were discovered by the Inhuman geneticist Randac approximately 25,000 years ago; he immersed himself in the Mists and gained mental powers comparable to the Eternals. Sometimes the mutated subjects gain superhuman abilities. However, in the past, uncontrolled exposure to the Mists—due in part to Randac wishing for all the Inhumans undergo Terrigen treatment, or Terrigenesis—mutated the majority of the Inhuman population into hideously deformed monsters. After centuries of eugenics and birth control, the Inhumans managed to mitigate the genetic damage and cultivated a more responsible use of the Terrigen Mists. The practice they developed was to let only genetically perfect specimens undergo the random mutations provoked by the Mists. Their theory was that genetic screening could avoid the risk of hideous and animal mutations in an individual. However, there have been incidents where an exposed Inhuman became a devolved, sometimes mindless, evolutionarily inferior throw-back. The term Alpha Primitives was coined for these unfortunates, and they are outcasts of Inhuman society, who would for centuries become the breeding stock of a slave race.

The underground prison cell of the Imperial Palace stronghold. The dungeons represent the only containment chamber within the entire city of Attilan. For those that have broken laws against the crown or against the Inhuman society. Few have been received such sentences, but those that have did not earn their punishment lightly.

The memorial and final resting place for the historic Inhuman geneticist Randac, who discovered the Terrigen Mist and was the first Inhuman to inherit the beneficial properties provided by it. His monumental contribution to the Inhumans will forever be remembered within the city of Attilan.
