The smoke was slowly dissipating at the scene of carnage and mass hysteria. Bullet holes and shrapnel decorated the elegant wallpaper of the once pleasant penthouse suite; bought and paid for with dirty money by Carlo Romano of the Romano crime family. Money earned from the suffering and deaths of hundreds of innocents by the works of his business. But not anymore, this residence just received its final payment; and it was time for Carlo check out.
Admits the area, a darkly clad hero, assault rifle in hand, emerged untouched through the settling chaos. His eyes were unforgiving and matched only by the white skull across his chest. The Punisher crossed the war torn living room, covered in the mangled corpses of Carlo Romano’s bodyguards; their faces frozen in fear even in death. He slowly stepped outside, onto the penthouse balcony, lowering his M16 to hip level as he approached the short in statue Carlo Romano; who fired imaginary bullets at The Punisher in fear while crying to himself. It was difficult to distinguish the tears from the sweat on his brow as he tossed the empty gun to the side and sobbed to himself. His thousand dollar suit was now stained with very own sweat and the blood of his comrades as he scuttled and backed up across the ground to the balcony edge.
He pleaded “Please God, don’t kill me! I can give you anything! Anything! Drugs, money, women! Guns! I got it all. Please, please, please don’t kill me!”
The Punisher simply scooped the mob runt off the ground with one hand and held him, feet dangling off the ground.
“This is about the business, my family. I knew it! You want the Romano family out of business! I can do that. I can tell them, we can cut down all our operations down by fifty percent! They won’t be a problem at all. Please! Just let me tell them. They’ll listen! My father will listen! I can send them a message!”
With a cold stare, the Punisher looked Carlo dead in the eyes and spoke ”I’ve already got a message for them.”
Carlo’s eyes bugged out as the Punisher lifted him above the railing and tossed him off the edge; arms and legs flailing about accompanied by a deathly scream. Carlo only seemed to grow smaller in view as he plummeted down and down coming closer by the second to the streets of Manhattan below. Tried it.
Didn’t like it.

A world where pitching a criminal dwarf out a skyscraper to tell his fellow scum you’re back is a sane and rational act.
