Industrialist Norman Osborn gains super powers and adopts the identity of the criminal Green Goblin. He immediately becomes one of Spider-Man's deadliest opponents. The Savage Land makes its first contact between Kevin Plunder, adoptive ruler of the hidden Savage Land, and the outside world. The Kree Empire sends Captain Mar-Vell to Earth as a spy. Coming to empathize with humanity, Mar-Vell betrays his orders and is welcomed as a hero by the people of Earth.
