The Rules
All members who are caught violating the following thirteen rules, listed below, are subject to warnings, suspensions, and expulsion from Marvel Universe: The Saga of 616.
Rule One: This one rule will be referred to as “the one rule.” It states that all rules displayed on this page are subject to change at the will of this board’s administrators. Each rule may be modified at anytime only to benefit the overall status of this board and never to abuse it. Administrators will only enact this rule with the best interests of the board in mind.
Rule Two: Always respect the trinity. The Staff. Other Members. And the Board. Abusing any of these three aspects may result in expulsion from this site.
Rule Three: Be cooperative. Most everyone wants the RPG story’s path to proceed a certain way. Each way may be different from member to member. Be flexible to other’s interests, and others will be to your own. Disagreeing otherwise may result in a disobedience of Rule Two.
Rule Four: Overuse of “god modding” will result in reprimand from the administrators. You may write your character’s actions as you see fit but do not disrespect other members you are writing with. Minor “god modding” is allowed, to an extent, but do not abuse this gift. Be mindful of how you portray other member’s characters in such a fashion that it does not violate Rule Two. It’s a privilege, not a right.
Rule Five: Only audition for canon Marvel characters that you can properly and authentically portray. If you feel that you can not correctly write a Marvel character’s actions, then to not attempt to audition for the character.
Rule Six: The choice to kill another character belongs to the administrators and the administrators alone. Know this; the threat of death on this board is real. The majority of accepted characters will have the possibility of a mortal demise. Each and every participant on this board has an equal chance of being defeated. If the administrators feel that a character must die, they will do so. We cater to neither side: hero or villain. Know that your character has a chance to die in combat with a supervillain, or that your villain may meet his accidental end at the hands of a hero. This choice, alone, belongs to the administrators. You may request a death to an administrator, or, ask permission of the fellow member you wish to expire. Only with the member’s previously expressed, and official, consent may their character die without administrative interference. Know that with as many resurrections as there has been in the Marvel Universe, death on this board is never a finite result.
Rule Seven: Be courteous. Ask permission before entering other player’s topics if you were not intended to join; this is not required for open topics. Private messages are the best way to achieve this. Spamming members with private message requests is not.
Rule Eight: All in-character posts will be no less than one paragraph long. The bare minimum for one paragraph is five sentences. Violating this rule is in breach of Rule Two. The administrators will be constantly reinforcing this rule.
Rule Nine: Characters are only allowed to be present in only one topic and one topic alone at any given time unless it is possible for the character to present multiple manifestations of itself. Once a character has joined a topic, they will commit to the topic completely and entirely until the character properly leaves. Only then, after exiting, may a character move on to another topic.
Rule Ten: Each member is entitled to as many characters as they can authentically portray. But be warned; do not hoard characters on this board. The administrators will be watching and making note of such disrespectful actions.
Rule Eleven: Respect each individual tone every member takes to their writing. In the spirit of the Marvel universe, this board’s rating is pending. It varies from G to NC-17. Each Marvel character is different and unique. Therefore, this site incorporates all aspects of the various natures of Marvel characters.
Rule Twelve: Inactivity after a period of three weeks will result in having the absent character put up for adoption for other members to claim unless a previous absence is requested beforehand.
Rule Thirteen: The word of the staff is law. Should you disagree, you are welcome to submit a resignation post and leave at any time.
