Without the intervention of superheroes, the city of Paris had fallen victim to a fatal meteor shower. After being repeatedly pummeled by a nonstop barrage of meteors, the entire territory had been leveled to the ground. The temperatures of the meteors were so hot, that the fire that burned afterwards fused the ground into solid glass.
