Cerebra Cerebra amplifies the brainwaves of the user. In the case of telepaths, it can detect traces of other mutants worldwide. It is not clear whether it finds mutants by the power signature they send out when they use their powers or by the presence of the X-gene in their body; both methods have been used. Anyone other than a highly powerful or trained telepath who uses this machine would fall into a "psychic coma" because of the overwhelming brain signatures of people around the area they searched. Only powerful telepaths with significant experience and control can effectively use it. Replacing Cerebro, Cerebra is a machine the size of a small room in the basement of Xavier's School for Higher Learning. It resembles a pod filled with a sparkling fog that condenses into representations of mental images. Moderator: Uatu the Watcher |

The Danger Cave Built by the Institute’s very own student, through the borrowed knowledge of Henry McCoy and Katherine Pryde, David Alleyne (Prodigy) constructed a "Danger Cave" just before his mutant abilities were de-powered. The Danger Cave allows students to relive former field missions of the X-Men so that they may train efficiently due to the recent loss of the Danger Room. Similar to the Danger Room, the Danger Cave is a three-dimensional light projecting self-adapting training simulator but can only recreate logged events. But unlike the Danger Room, the Danger Cave generates the actual apparel of the field mission’s participants on those presently engaging the simulation—clothing them as those from the actual scenario. The Danger Room For highly experienced students, it is filled with projectile firing devices, traps, and mechanical dangers such as collapsing walls, presses and the like intended to challenge trainees. Meanwhile, an observer must always be present is in the overhanging control booth managing the room's mechanisms to oversee the exercise while ensuring the subject's safety. The Danger Room has been upgraded with robots for the X-Men to fight against. After befriending the Shi'ar the X-Men rebuilt the Danger Room with Shi'ar hard-light holographic technology. The objects in the danger room are holograms surrounded by force fields and can display holograms in only 32-bit color. Since the apparition of the sentient being Danger, the Danger Room now only functions as a empty training area. Moderator: Uatu the Watcher |
