The abandoned and derelict ruins of Attilan which was rendered all but inhabitable after the city itself was put in peril by Maximus the Mad. This section of Attilan was nearly destroyed after ruler Black Bolt successfully freed his city from a Negative Zone barrier—a last and desperate tactic by Maximus. Unleashing the sheer power of his voice, Black Bolt destroyed the barrier, yet most of the city was unable to recover. The Attilan that stands tall and proud today was built over and around the old city.
