The Raft is a prison facility for super-human criminals, predominantly supervillains, it is the "Maximum-Maximum Security" wing of the Ryker's Island Maximum Security Penitentiary. The Raft has recently suffered from a large-scale prison break, where forty-two inmates have escaped.
