A harsh desert climate whose temperatures are too extreme for members of the Imperial races and even most Natives, the Great Desert is primarily inhabited by the nomadic Shadow People who view it as a Saka holy region. It is filled with great mountain ranges and hidden, oasis-like forests where Shadow People dwell in obscurity. One such mountain is know as “Prophet Rock,” where, according to legend, the teachings forming the basis of the Saka religion were revealed millennia ago. Shadow People often make pilgrimages to Prophet Rock, which they view as the holiest of their holy sites.
