An underground tunnel also connects the Great Arena to the nearby Gladiator Quarters, where the various slave-warriors are housed prior to their matches. At all times, gladiators are securely maintained by Imperial guardsman to prevent escape and that all participants arrive, on time, for their competition in The Great Games.
